Florida U.S. Representative Vern Buchanan tests positive for COVID-19

U.S. Representative Vern Buchanan (R-FL) has tested positive for cocaine according to new testing of his urine by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. Buchanan was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2006. The drug test revealed that Buchanan had cocaine metabolites in his system. Florida U.S. Representative Vern Buchanan is the (Republican) candidate for governor of Florida – and he has a history of making controversial statements. The most recent came on September 13, when Buchanan made an appearance in Melbourne before a campaign event. A reporter from the Orlando Sentinel followed up with questions and Buchanan answered with a scathing statement. The statement read: “You’ve got to be kidding,” Buchanan told the reporter when asked about the state’s decision to recommend medical marijuana for veterans with PTSD. “What is wrong with Florida? This is a state that wants to legalize euthanasia. You want to legalize euthanasia? I just saw a sign that said, ‘Hello Kitty, goodbye Kitty.’ They are killing off the elderly.”

COVID-19 was obviously a popular topic among members of the United States Congress throughout most of 2024 and 2024. In the same way as the rest of society. The new Coronavirus would be found in dozens of members. It would kill a U.S. representative as well as a U.S. representative-elect.

COVID-19 instances have drastically decreased in several areas as research and development has yielded greater outcomes. Many Americans, on the other hand, have decided to ignore this reality. Some people are unable to do so due to genuine medical concerns. Others seem to be terribly ignorant.

There have also been a number of variations. This may escape the known protection against the new coronavirus, particularly as they continue to evolve. As a result, COVID-19 rates have started to rise once again. And, in the case of Congress, a familiar turn of events has occurred.

Vern Buchanan was found to have been infected with a new coronavirus.

According to Politico, Florida Congressman Vern Buchanan has revealed that he has tested positive for COVID-19. He didn’t say whether he knew where or when he acquired the illness. Of course, this is something that many people are unaware of.

It comes only days after members of the Texas Legislature were diagnosed with COVID-19.

The delegation of lawmakers recently visited Washington, D.C. They’ve met with Vice President Kamala Harris and members of Congress, among others, since landing. At least one White House official and a worker for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi have tested positive after meeting them.

It’s unclear if Buchanan’s case has anything to do with them.

Or if it’s a different issue, at least to some degree. It’s doubtful that Buchanan personally met with the Texas lawmakers. However, it’s conceivable, if not likely, that he’s come into touch with someone who has. Vern Buchanan is also a member of the Florida House of Representatives. For the second time, has been identified as a hotspot for recent COVID-19 increases.

Buchanan has started to show signs of the virus, according to the Associated Press. He’s been quarantined and placed in isolation.

Buchanan is the current representative for Florida’s 16th Congressional District.

Vern Buchanan is a native of Inkster, Michigan, and is the grandson of Finnish immigrants. Buchanan would join the Michigan Air National Guard as a pilot. He would also go on to Cleary University in Howell, Michigan, and the University of Detroit to complete his education.

Buchanan purchased several automobile dealerships in Florida after getting into the printing industry. Later in life, he worked for The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company in the insurance business.

Buchanan was first elected to the United States House of Representatives in 2006 as a Republican.

His predecessor, Republican Katherine Harris, ran an ultimately failed bid for the United States Senate. Initially, Buchanan was elected to represent Florida’s 13th Congressional District. He was sent to the 16th District after a redistricting.

James, his son, is a Florida House of Representatives member.
